Baseline
Customized integration with Baseline
At Epical, we love structure. For almost 20 years, we have helped our customers get the right information to the right place at the right time and at the right cost. The knowledge and best practice that we have gathered and refined is stored in our knowledge base, Baseline.
20 years of integration expertise at your disposal
We leverage this expertise, knowledge and best practice through workshops, templates, best practices and tools for our customers, as well as putting full-fledged integration capabilities in place.
By structuring the knowledge and constantly refining Baseline to follow technology shifts and evolving business needs, we can give you an up-to-date, quick start to a customized integration delivery.
We ensure that by customizing artifacts, processes and tools to fit your specific needs, we do not lock your company in with proprietary material. Instead, our priority is to constantly provide benefit to your business.
The Baseline Maturity Model
The backbone of the Baseline methodology is the Baseline Maturity Model, which helps manage your intellectual capital in a structured manner.
The Baseline Maturity Model divides the integration domain into the following components, which are needed to achieve an optimal integration setup. It is with the help of this maturity model that we are able to provide you with a quick start that fits your specific needs – and much more.
Baseline methodology
With what and how can Baseline help you to get a quick start for your integration delivery?
The Baseline methodology is built on Epical’s long and vast experience within integration which we have developed over the years. We have stored our knowledge in a structured manner in Baseline and constantly enhanced and refined it to follow technology shifts and evolving business needs. It is in this way, through Baseline, that we are able to give your company a quick-start to a customized integration delivery.
The methodology is platform-agnostic, however parts of Baseline’s artifacts are specific to various integration products. Epical is partnered with, e.g., IBM, Microsoft, MuleSoft, RedHat and TIBCO, and has strong expertise in their integration products.
Baseline workshops
We customize our Baseline workshops to meet your company’s specific needs. At the workshop, we provide our expertise and semi-manufactured artifacts. At the same time, you supply your deep business knowledge as well as your current and desired position.
By focusing on your organization’s needs during a one-day workshop in the company of your central stakeholders, weeks of investigations and discussions are saved. Our workshops are cost-efficient and also ensure a common understanding and documented consensus.
Thanks to our constant refining of our workshops based on customer experiences, they follow the changes in an evolving world. The workshops come in all flavors, e.g.:
- Integration maturity analysis
- Integration strategy
- API and reference architecture
- API management
- Integration processes, organization and roles
- Documentation, logging, monitoring and reporting
- Customized workshop
Baseline start-kits will get you started
Today with digitalization, new demands are placed on organizations to interact with partners, make information available over new channels and respond more rapidly to ever-changing business needs. Integrating all the required applications to meet these requirements is becoming increasingly more demanding. Investing in integration capability is a vital part of the solution for many companies, but how do you get started?
Epical's Baseline start-kit is the answer. The purpose of the Baseline start-kit is to get you up and running with the selected integration technology, train your team in using it, and complete a simple proof of concept project to ensure that the platform is correctly installed and that your whole team knows how to use it.
The aim is to have capability in place on premise, hybrid or in the cloud that meets your demands today as well as tomorrow. This is done as a fixed-price project to provide predictability of cost, timing, and contents of the project.
You are of course also given the free option of evaluating our Baseline Integration Portal (BIP), which enhances the value of your investment in integration technology.
Baseline Integration Portal Service - powered by Nodinite
Baseline Integration Portal Service (BIP) is our multi-tool to ensure structure, that is, the law and order to your integration landscape. Through our Nodinite based BIP service, you also get access to our expertise and best practices within the integration domain.
BIP is the all-in-one tool that you need to get full control over your integration solution and beyond. With BIP, you can document your integration landscape in a consistent way and, in return, get connected end-to-end logging and monitoring everywhere.
In this fast-paced digital era, it can be difficult to retain customers, your cutting-edge expertise, and your relevance. BIP is the indispensable digital tool for meeting your goals and visions within integration, and it enables you to have information on hand to provide fact-based decisions.
BIP Monitoring - ensures that everything is monitored everywhere and can easily be handled if it fails for any reason.
BIP Logging - ensures that you can have end-to-end logging for your information flows. With the combination of BIP Monitoring and BIP Repository, you get one-click management from incident to solution.
BIP Repository - shows your information flows on a visual map and answers your questions in a clear way, such as: What integrations is this system involved in? Who uses this service? Where can I find the documentation for artefacts such as Integration, System or Service?
BIP Insights - gives you the information you need to deliver fact-based decisions.
Enfo delivers BIP to your self-managed environment or in our cloud service. In our BIP delivery, we also provide additional services, for instance within training and automation, such as scripting and migration of documentation, as well as Power BI solutions for visualizing the information that flows through your integration platform.
